WELCOME TO PET GUNDOGS YORKSHIRE

Are you struggling to understand why your Spaniel is pulling like a train? Or why your Pointer​ runs off when he gets a sniff of something? Or what it is that makes your Labrador pick up your slippers constantly?

I started Pet Gundogs Yorkshire to help people understand their pet's breed and traits, and to help to use those hard wired genetics to their advantage (e.g. sniffing to tire their brains and make their abundant energy more manageable!). Gundogs make fantastic working dogs, but can also be amazing pets. I believe that understanding the science behind dog behaviour is key to a happy dog!

I am a positive, reward based and force-free dog trainer specialising in Gundog breeds (Cocker Spaniels, Springer Spaniels, Labrador (and other) Retrievers, Vizlas, Pointers, Weimaraners, Cockerpoos, Labradoodles...). However, if you have any other dog who needs a little bit of help, do not hesitate to contact me). I work solely on a 121 basis in order to give you the best chance of success in your relationship with your dog. We will break training down into manageable tasks in a judgement free zone, and most importantly, keep it fun for you and your dog!
